Why choose
Invisalign VS Metal Braces

Invisalign does not require a lot of time or hassle from the patient. Most patients prefer Invisalign because of how comfortable and convenient it is. For example, there are no wires that have to be bonded to the teeth in order for the teeth to adjust towards new positions.

Metal braces compromise the aesthetics of the smile, whereas the Invisalign system works discreetly to create a beautiful smile.

Invisaligns are removable, which means you can continue doing everything you normally would, from brushing and flossing to eating whatever you like.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a new system that can be used as an alternative to braces for mild to moderate dental alignment issues. This means that if you are looking to correct a crooked smile, but are not willing to put up with having metal bits and pieces attached to your teeth for a whole year — this is the perfect treatment for you.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Spivak for over 15 years, his impeccable quality of work, gentle hands, bedside manner are what keep us loyal to his care only. I highly recommend him for all your dental needs, kind of wish he could be our medical physician as well! Lol he’s amazing and his team is great as well, they always work with us on making appointments that fit our crazy schedules. I am grateful for Dr. Spivak and his wonderful team!

I live near by there office and was happy to find MVDentalarts online. Great customer service. Did cleaning and two fillings. The main thing that made me happy that they didn’t try to sell me on the crown and doctor Steven said that filling will be enough, we will be checking and will try to save tooth as much as we can. Cleaning was very gentle. 5 min drive for me. Thank you. Definitely recommend.

There are the before and after photos of my teeth. I can’t express what a life changing experience this has been. I was always very subconscious about my teeth. I barely smiled and if I did, I would try to cover my teeth as I did not want anyone to take notice of the mismatched front teeth. I also did not like the amount of gums that showed when I smiled.

FAQ

Will I need to get any of my teeth extracted for Invisalign?

Usually, dental extraction is not a prerequisite for Invisalign treatments to relieve dental crowding. The system works by slowly and gently expanding the jaws to create the space needed for new dental movements. IPR procedures may be done to create additional space in case of severe crowding.

Will there be any dietary restrictions for me once the treatment starts?

The best part about opting for Invisalign is that there are absolutely no dietary restrictions. You can eat anything you fancy once you have removed the trays from your mouth. Just remember that the trays should be worn for at least 20-22 hours a day for best results.

Will the treatment hurt?

Invisalign doesn’t really cause pain, but you may experience a bit of discomfort when you start wearing the trays for the very first time, or when you change them after two weeks. Your mouth might feel sore as it adjusts to the new objects, but the discomfort is temporary and can easily be managed with mild painkillers.

Is Invisalign an alternate to metal braces?

The treatment can only be used as an alternative for mild to moderate dental alignment cases. This means that if you have some crowding or spacing in your arches, this treatment is perfect for you. However, if your case requires bite correction, jaw rotation or skeletal adjustments, you may have to opt for conventional orthodontic treatments.

How long does the treatment take?

The duration of treatment varies from case to case. On an average, an Invisalign treatment can take anywhere from 8 to 15 months depending upon the nature and severity of alignment issues.
